Honey supers on top of hives
to let the bees drift out. This photo was taken in Western Queensland
while the bees were on a Yapunyah honey flow. The bees will not even
attempt to rob the honey back and will all drift out of the supers in
about 4 hours. This is one of our winter flows and the photo was taken
in early August. The average rainfall in this area is only 275mm (11
inches) per year.
