Swarm Lures Storage: Should be stored in the refrigerator when not in use. For longtime storage please place in a freezer. The way they work: The lures attract the scout bees that a swarm send out, the scout then returns to the swarm to tell them that she has found a new suitable home. You must provide that suitable home. Placement: Do not open the envelope, just attach to the lid of the trap (which can be a bee box with foundation). Place your trap above the ground, the higher the better (3meters is good) and at least 100 meters from other beehives. The Lure can be returned to the freezer MSL376 Queen Bee Pheromone Bee Boost with QMP (Queen Mandibular Phermone)
Improve Queen Rearing Success - Bee Boost (simulates an egg laying queen) used in queen mating nuclei in early spring can maintain significantly higher bee numbers than in non-treated nucs. Insert one Bee Boost lure in each mating nuclei when it is established or when the queen cell is inserted. Ship Queenless Packages - Bee Boost calms bees shipped in queenless packages. Place Bee Boost lure as if it were a queen cage. Temporary Queen Replacement - A hive will perform normally for several days with Bee Boost as a temporary queen. Remove the queen or queen cells and place a Bee Boost lure in each brood box. When a queen is available, the Bee Boost is removed and a new queen introduced. MQP705
